Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Orbit ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the Orbit mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By using Orbit, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Who We Are
Orbit is operated by Aditya Shrivastava, an individual developer. You can reach us at admin@bychance.xyz for any privacy-related questions or requests.
---
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Account Information. When you sign in to Orbit using Sign in with Apple or Google sign-in, we receive and store your name and email address. If you sign in with Apple and choose to use Apple's private email relay, we receive the relay email address rather than your real email.
Personality and Reflection Data. When you take Orbit's personality assessment, respond to daily prompts, or share reflections, we collect and store your responses. This data forms the basis of your personalized profile and is used to generate insights and personalize your experience.
AI Conversation Data. When you interact with Orbit's AI mentors, we collect and store the full conversation history, including your messages and the AI's responses. This data is used to provide continuity across sessions and to personalize your experience over time. Conversation content is processed through Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses; see Section 4 for details on how Anthropic handles this data.
Usage Data. We collect information about how you interact with Orbit, including the features you use, the time and duration of your sessions, and your interactions with the app's interface. This data helps us improve the Service.
Device Information. We collect technical information about the device you use to access Orbit, including device model, operating system version, language settings, time zone, and a unique device identifier.
We do not collect payment information at this time, as Orbit is currently free to use.

3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Provide and operate the Service — including authenticating your account, displaying your profile, generating your personality insights, and powering AI mentor conversations
Personalize your experience — including using your name in the app, tailoring AI mentor responses based on your history, and adapting insights to your patterns over time
Improve and develop new features — including understanding how features are used and identifying areas for improvement
Communicate with you — about Service updates, support requests, and (where you have opted in) product news
Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, and abuse
Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. We do not sell your personal information.
---
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
Service Providers. We share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf:
Anthropic, Inc. — to power the AI mentor experience. Conversation content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Anthropic processes this data under their own privacy and data handling policies, available at https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
Cloud hosting providers — to host our infrastructure and store user data securely.
Analytics providers — to understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the Service. Analytics data is processed in a way that supports our internal product decisions and is not shared with advertisers.
Email providers — to send transactional and (where you have opted in) product communications.
These providers are contractually required to handle your data in accordance with this policy and applicable laws.
Authentication Providers. When you sign in using Sign in with Apple or Google, those providers receive a request from us to authenticate you. They do not receive any data about your activity inside Orbit.
Legal Requirements. We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (such as a court or government agency).
Business Transfers. If Orbit is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
---
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business purposes.
You can request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us at admin@bychance.xyz.
---
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

- Correction — the right to correct inaccurate information
- Deletion — the right to request deletion of your data
- Portability — the right to receive a copy of your data in a portable format
- Objection — the right to object to certain processing
- Withdrawal of consent — the right to withdraw consent for processing where consent is the legal basis
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at admin@bychance.xyz. We will respond within 30 days.
California Residents: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), you have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete that information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
EU/UK Residents: Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful basis for processing your information is either your consent (which you can withdraw at any time), the performance of our contract with you (i.e., providing the Service), or our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service.
---
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest, restricted access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
---
8. Children's Privacy
Orbit is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, contact us at admin@bychance.xyz and we will delete it.
---
9. International Data Transfers
Orbit is operated from India. If you are located in the EU, UK, or elsewhere outside India, your information will be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your own. We use appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where required, to protect your information during such transfers.
---
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when it was most recently revised.
